What a great contest this is :-)

30 hours of non stop action and no worries about chasing or getting that mult
on another band… Just run stations like h….. and the mults will come your
way!

When things did slow down on sunday i took a sweep on the bands and worked as
many as i could of those yellow calls in the bandmap

After several years now running SO2R on RTTY I am still improving my operator
skills and that’s what it’s all about for me :-)

I still would like to see this as a 36 hour effort like in WPX CW and SSB !!

Started with a 80+ hour on 40M with some 80M 2nd radio Qs. 80M never produced
any runs at all. Heard nil/zero/nada NA on 160M, not even a dit. I heard a lot
of southern EU stations working a lot of NA. TI5W and others where very strong,
but SA doesn’t count in this contest so… :-)

At 11:00z day 1 things started to happen, 20M opened a bit and my 2nd radio was
on 15M. Slowly more and more stations were logged on 15M so I switched run to 15
and S/P on 20. At 17:30z it was time to run 20M again with some nice rates.
Even a 120+ clock hour. We are not spoiled with high rates in Norway, so
anything over 60 is a good rate :-D At 22:00z the fun was over.
K-index(@DombÄs) went up to 4 then to 7 for 6 hours.

After that, except for a 80+ hour at 15:00z Sunday, it was slow and tiring.

My only 10M opening was around 14:30z Saturday.

At 16:40z on Sunday I shut down the station and drove 1h30m home to be with my
family on my own birthday(19.2).

Thanks for all the Qs. Contest is fun!

1 boy, 2 radios, 6 antennas

Yes! Sunspot minimum is back :)
After almost a year with sunspots 10 meter is finally back to normal again....

Joke aside, I had a great time once again in the RDXC :)
Last effort was in 2009 and I was aiming for the Norwegian record but it was
impossible because of the active geomagnetic field combined with the low solar
flux.

Hope to be back next year!
